Nutrition is probably the most important element when undertaking a training program. The depressing fact remains that you can train as hard as you can but you will not see the results that you dream of unless your nutrition is in check!
There are so many different ‘diets’ out there so how do you know what is right for you?
There is no right answer to that question it is down to what works for you and what you feel is giving you the desired results! however…. at Exercise People we tend to take a more balanced approach! we don’t believe in cutting out whole food groups like carbohydrates because we feel that this has a negative affect on the body not to mention a massive reduction in your energy levels! Instead our approach is to balance your diet between protein carbs and fats. The image above illustrates what we believe your plate should look like at meal times.
Half of your plate being veg/salad/raw veg
One quarter of your plate being carbohydrates like rice/potatoe/pasta
One quarter of your plate being Protein like salmon,beef,chicken
